Welcome!

Welcome to CoachMath.us!

It is my sincere belief that anyone can improve their Math skills with determination and an instructor who uses a common-sense approach.  The goal at coachmath.us is a simple one - improving your fundamentals and basic understanding of the material until you are confident enough to master it.

Here you will not find sarcasm or impatience...  instead you will find encouragement and genuine interest in your success.  I'm not going to lie to you - nothing worth having comes easy.  But with enthusiasm, hard work, and some humor you will find that you are definitely improving in the subject of Mathematics!

If you're a terrible math student, I'll make you better...  if you're an okay math student I'll make you a good one... and if you're a good math student I'll make you an outstanding one.  The only thing I demand is that you take your sessions seriously and get every penny's worth of your money as we improve your Math  ability one problem at a time.

All it takes is all you've got!

Let's work together to make Math one of your better subjects,

Sincerely

Steve Smith

How To Book A Session On Coachmath.us

  1. Well, you've already completed the first step - finding coachmath.us!
  2. What you need - a computer system able to make a Skype video call and the ability to use Paypal - that's it!
  3. On the right side of the page, please refer to any of the informational pages (such as this one, how to make a skype video call, etc.) you feel will help you get up to speed.
  4. After you are confident you understand what you're doing, click on the link "Book A Session Here"
  5. You will be taken to a site where you can pick the date and time of your session.  Times are Monday through Thursday 11 am through 11 pm. Occasionally I will post additional hours Friday morning and Sunday evenings.   Sessions begin  at the top of the hour and end at 5 minutes til (for example; 11:00 am - 11:55 am, 2:00 pm - 2:55 pm, etc.)
  6. Once on the booking site, follow the directions given - which includes leaving a short description of the Math course (Algebra I, Math 8, Trigonometry, etc.) and the Topic (factoring, proportions, trig identities, etc.)  You don't have to be too specific. Another field needs the date and time scheduled.
  7. Part of the scheduling process will include paying for the session using Paypal.  In the additional notes section, you can list your name, the date and the time.
  8. That's it!  A few minutes before your session, find a suitable work area, gather your material (paper, pencil, any books or material needed, etc.) and call me on Skype at the top of the hour.  If I don't answer on the first call, try again in a minute or two.  I do my best to keep my computer time synchronized with time.windows.com but occasionally I get someone calling during a session in progress due to our clocks being out of sync.  Here is a short video on keeping your computer time aligned:  Windows Desktop... OS X seems to do this on its own.
